Political Jargon

I find the “jargon” used by politicians nowadays to be particularly dishonest, but entertaining. Politics is as rich with deception and selling as the game of poker. Politicians must walk some fine lines of pleasing their constituencies without inciting riots from their opponents. That leads to some fascinating word selection which I will roughly characterize as today’s political jargon. Here are a few examples: (more…)
