The Final Debate

Last night’s final debate was a back-breaker. Predictably, supporters of both parties are saying their guy won. If you ignore the content specifics and just examine the communication styles, it is very clear to me that there was a big winner, and he will win the election. Here is what I saw.

Leadership

The meaning of the word leadership is frequently debated written about. It is one of those words that hits different nerves with different people and has a very context specific meaning. Leading a family is different than leading a business and those are quite different than leading the Green Bay Packers. Yet, we see expert leaders and wannabe leaders applying common approaches. For sure, there are some common principles that embody good leaders across different contexts.
